Athan Pro, a multi-faceted prayer times app for Muslims, has updated its iOS app to add new widgets and support for Live Activities, making it easier for Muslims to keep track of daily prayer times. The new features are available for premium subscribers in the version 8.4.0 update, which is available today.

The new live activities allow users to see prayer times at a glance, even when their iPhone is locked and the Adhan Pro app is closed, and can also be viewed in the Dynamic Island of the iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Pro Max and all of the iPhone 15 series. There are two live activities available:

  • Full Day: This live activity displays all five prayer times in the day in a sun-position timeline view. The upcoming prayer time information and a live timer counting down to the next prayer time are also displayed.
  • Next Prayer: This live activity provides a clean text-centric interface, highlighting the upcoming prayer time and a live timer counting down to the start of the prayer time.

There are also four new widgets that can be added to the home screen for even more glanceable prayer time information on an iPhone. The widgets can show prayer times for the whole day and a live countdown to the next prayer time and are available in small, medium and large sizes. The iPhone lock screen also gets some attention, with several new lock screen widgets available to show prayer times for the day.

Overall, these new features to Adhan Pro are a welcome addition for Muslims who want to stay connected to their faith and never miss a prayer.
